President's Message - Capsun M. Poe, President 2016-2017![]() Aloha Rotarians and Friends: As 2016 comes to an end, please take some time to relax and rejuventate. We want to start 2017 with a bang. To that end, we have our first service project (a multi-club event!) on January 7, 2017 to return to Waikalua Loko I`a. There is beautiful scenery and deep history, all of which will be shared with us. I will need a headcount before January 2, so please email me at rotary@capsun.org if you will join us. More information is available after Read More. This is also another friendly reminder that Treasurer Laine Kohama has sent out your semi-annual dues. Your timely payment is greatly appreciated. Dues help fund our Club's projects and partnerships, including our Dictionary Project! Don't worry, I will be paying mine this week, so you're not too late yet. Finally, our Club will "go dark" for the holidays. Therefore, we will have NO December 21-December 27 meeting in observance of the Christmas holiday and NO December 28-January 3 meeting in observance of the New Year holiday. You will be hearing from me about our January 7 multi-club service project and a planned January 14 visioning/strategic planning session for our Club. Have an awesome few weeks everyone! See you in 2017! Mahalo! Remember to click Read More below to view the rest of our meeting. President's Message - Capsun M. Poe, President 2016-2017![]() Aloha Rotarians and Friends: I know it's the busy holiday season, so I have just a few updates: First, you should have received an email that our Holiday Lunch had to be cancelled. We are looking for a Club activity in January. Second, Treasurer Laine Kohama has sent out your semi-annual dues. Your timely payment is greatly appreciated. Dues help fund our Club's projects and partnerships, including our Dictionary Project! Third, five of your officers (President Capsun Poe, SAA Biz Kellam, PP Laine Kohama, PP Garry Yee, and AG Ray Paler) attended the Priority #1 Membership workshop this past Saturday. This and virtually every Rotary meeting or training are open to anyone interested, so we'd love to have you join us in the future. We learned about more strategies for member recruitment and retention that we would love to build into our Club. We want to find what works for our members and what engages you. So if you've got suggestions or ideas, please comment below or send a message. Finally, our Club will "go dark" for the holidays.
