President's Message - Capsun M. Poe, President 2016-2017
Aloha Rotarians and Friends:
I have some great news to share about an achievement by our Club. We recently received a banner from The Rotary Foundation in recognition as a 100% Foundation Giving Club by giving an average of $100 per capita and having ALL of our members participate. This was awarded for the 2015-2016 Rotary Year. Congratulations to all of us and thanks especially to PP Laine Kohama and Foundation Chair Ray Paler for their leadership on this initiative.
Which means it's a great time to remind all of you that giving even just $1 to The Rotary Foundation will help us meet this goal again this year. Remember that our giving to the Annual Fund-SHARE comes back in three years when our Club gets 50% of it. This is the primary way we fund our Dictionary Project in the Fall.
Finally, don't forget to sign up for the March Rotary Means Business Fellowship event. Information is available after the Read More link.
PS: I want to give a shout-out to Ben Holzhauser, one of our fellow members, for always taking care of setting up our meeting. It makes it easier to serve as President when other members are pitching in. Mahalo!
