President's Message - Capsun M. Poe, President 2016-2017
Aloha Rotarians and Friends:
As we approach the busy holiday season, I just wanted to remind you all to take a moment to breathe. So often, in the hustle and bustle we forget to take a moment for ourselves. So please take one now.
OK, did you take one? If not, please take a deep breath now. You can reflect on your week or just think about what lies ahead.
Whew. OK hope that felt good for you.
Knowing things will be busy, I just want to take a moment to note our upcoming Board meeting on Monday, November 21, at 11:30 am at EAT Honolulu. As always, our great SAA Biz Kellam (aka "Sarge") coordinates our lunch orders. If you haven't joined us yet, I invite and encourage you to come. More voices helps us make better decisions that reflect the wants and needs of our members. It's especially helpful for us to hear from our newer members, so I'd love to see you there. One item we will discuss is our upcoming elections and leadership transition. And we will finalize our plans for a holiday get-together.
Have an awesome week everyone! Mahalo!

In this delightful talk, Stark explores the overlooked benefits of pushing past our default discomfort when it comes to strangers and embracing those fleeting but profoundly beautiful moments of genuine connection.
