PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - Laine Kohama, President 2015-2016
Aloha Rotary E-Club members and fellow Rotarians!
I’m hoping everyone is having a great Holiday Season! Several weeks ago Ayman did a multi club New Focus presentation at the Kaneohe club for a bunch of clubs. What he talked about his the new way Rotary encourages clubs to grow and retain their membership. It was great to see current DG Del Green and first lady Diana, DGN Win, AG Jim McClelland, our AG Sandy Matsui, and our very own Garry and Biz (aka Sarge), among many others in attendance.
New Focus is an initiative that has come from RI to help with the following:
Here is a slideshow from D5340, that covers what Ayman talked about (his presentation was a little different, but the content was the same).
I “highly” encourage all members to attend a New Focus presentation. This is my second time around and it is very valuable for any Rotarian that would like to help Rotary grow, and in addition get ideas to use in business.
Glenn will be sending out two community service opportunity with the Ala Moana Club that he and his wife Mary attending last year with Garry and Linda (this is there 3rd year). He will also be coordinating wth folks on who is attending the Centennial project in January and we got several folks that have signed up.
Lastly, we had a great time at the Rotary E Club of Hawaii Christmas Bar-b-que. Mahalo to all that attended and I’ll be doing a write up in the coming weeks. Wishing everyone a great week and I’ll leave you with a quote, “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it” - Maya Angelou

2015 Rotary Contributions
By Ray Paler
(Posting as a reminder for cutoff dates for this year's contributions.)
Congratulations! Thank you for supporting our club’s efforts in surpassing our Annual Fund Goal Amount. Attached please find this month’s report showing that we are at 104% of our goal set for our 2015-2016 year. Currently we are ranked #3 in D5000 for Annual Fund contributions and our Annual Fund Per Capita amount is at $132 per member. This Per Capita amount also helps us with our Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY) Per Capita too, providing every member contributes in this Rotary Year. Please consider contributing if you have not yet online at www.rotary.org . Contributions should be made before March 31, 2016 to be counted for this Rotary year. Rotary International may not be able to properly recognize contributions for this year after that date.
We are doing very well as a new small club!
All contributions support our service projects and ability to provide programs. Please consider making a donation today.
Donations large and small are appreciated.
